Tucked within the walls of the house, a hidden collection of bottles offers a glimpse into a past that was never meant to be seen. This exhibit explores the discovery, context, and significance of these artifacts, revealing the stories quietly preserved behind the structure itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This guided talk is offered every hour and runs approximately 25 minutes. Questions are welcome.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Step into The Speakeasy for a guided tasting experience exploring the origins of Prohibition-era cocktails. Guests will sample four small pours while learning how and why these drinks were created, from disguising harsh spirits to evading detection. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Offered Saturdays at 6:00 PM, this experience invites visitors to sip, learn, and step further into the story of the era.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

During the renovation of Capstone, a collection of documents was uncovered with ties to Chicago\u2019s Prohibition-era underworld. Among them are signatures linked to figures such as Johnny \u201cPapa Johnny\u201d Torrio, Al Capone (\u201cScarface\u201d), and Murray Humphreys (\u201cThe Camel\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Can you uncover the meaning behind their coded messages?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
